Qualification and Skills
Michelle joined Databuild after graduating with an English degree from the University of Birmingham and a Masters degree in Gender Studies. She has gained the Chartered Institute of Marketing Post Graduate Professional Diploma and is an Association of Qualitative Research trained focus group moderator.
In her role as a consultant, Michelle’s core skills are in understanding client’s needs and designing robust and innovative research solutions to meet those needs. She has strong project management and communication skills.
Background and experience
Michelle joined Databuild in 2001 and has subsequently worked as a project manager or consultant on numerous projects for government and public sector clients including Defra, Energy Saving Trust, and Waste and Resource Action Programme. She has expertise in research and evaluation of programs, policies and projects concerned with energy efficiency, resource efficiency, recycling, and waste minimisation particularly amongst businesses and public sector organisations (e.g. councils) as well as business productivity, innovation and small business performance. She has also undertaken projects in the agricultural sector.
In 2009, after managing a number of successful projects in Australia, Michelle undertook a six month project to develop a branch of our business there. She now manages our business in Australia, spending part of her time there.
Michelle is a stakeholder in the business and has been an associate director since 2007. This gives her added responsibilities and strategic input into developing the business and individual team members.
