Qualification and Skills
Fiona has a degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Birmingham. During this she developed her research skills through the completion of a number of projects where she was involved at all stages of delivery. Since her time at Databuild she has developed strong management and communication skills.
In her role as Research Manager Fiona’s key responsibilities are the management of research teams and assistant research managers to produce high quality data which meets the objectives of the project.
Fiona also has strong qualitative research skills.
Background and experience
Fiona joined Databuild in 2008 as a telephone researcher and within two months began taking on more responsibilities assisting in the delivery of projects. Fiona then moved on to being involved in all aspects of project delivery including methodology design, management of data collection, analysis of data and reporting and presenting. This early exposure to all elements of the project process has given her greater insight into the importance of collecting high quality data.
Fiona has managed data collection and carried out analysis and reporting on a wide variety of projects with particular experience in the areas of local authority and business support. Her primary responsibilities currently are the effective training of research teams and assistant research managers and ensuring good quality data is collected. She also carries out analysis of data and provides feedback to the consultants on the outcomes of project work.
Fiona has worked on the qualitative research elements of a number of projects, providing insight into why target audiences behave in certain ways and hold particular opinions. She has produced a number of case studies to demonstrate business and environmental support in practice.
