Qualification and Skills
Samina has a degree in History from Warwick University. Since her time at Databuild she developed strong project management and communications skills. She has also completed training on leadership, management and presentations skills as well as a certificate from the Train the Trainer course. Samina is also currently responsible for the training and development of Assistant Research Managers.
In her role as Research Manager, Samina’s key skills involve contributing to developing and applying research methodologies and ensuring that these result in robust research through the process of data collection.
Background and experience
Samina joined Databuild in 2004 as a telephone researcher and within six months was assisting project managers with delivery of projects. This experience has given her a holistic view of projects and she has accumulated a large amount of project management experience.
Samina has managed the data collection process on some of our largest and most demanding projects ranging from evaluating government programmes and activities to projects about energy efficiency. She has excelled at training and developing research teams ensuring that they have a thorough understanding of project objectives and conduct high quality work that meets client needs and budgets. She also manages recruitment for qualitative projects including focus groups.
Currently Samina is devising programmes to train and develop staff that specialise in the research management area of the business. This includes developing processes to help with recruitment of qualitative research and investigating new expertise or innovations in research and data collection.
