NISP
The National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP) is a business led initiative which seeks to facilitate links between industries from different sectors to create sustainable commercial opportunities and improve resource efficiency. NISP is actively involved in various schemes including diversion of waste from landfill, reduction of CO2 emissions and water use. We have conducted a number of projects for NISP including:
- Developing a methodology for verifying the environmental and financial savings that NISP reports to Defra
- Evaluating the financial and environmental savings achieved through Industrial Symbiosis projects facilitated by NISP
- Exploring whether and how the benefits associated with engagement with NISP endure
